NewDay Ltd

With effect from 1st April 2014, Progressive Credit Limited changes its name to NewDay Ltd.  Therefore, your Opus credit card agreement is now between you and NewDay Ltd. We have also made some changes to your terms and conditions and you should have received a new set for your records.

We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions and answers should you have any queries about this change: 

1. Who is NewDay?

From 1 April, SAV Credit Limited became NewDay Cards Ltd and Progressive Credit Limited will become NewDay Ltd, part of the NewDay group of companies, one of the largest providers of credit and store cards in the UK.

NewDay Ltd is the new name of your credit card issuer, previously Progressive Credit Limited.

NewDay is a fresh, new alternative in financial services and one of the UK's fastest growing companies. From 1 April we will be welcoming over a million new customers a year. We provide credit and store cards for these retail partners: Debenhams, House of Fraser, Laura Ashley, Topshop, Topman, Burton, Wallis, Miss Selfridge, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Outfit, and Harvey Nichols. Our consumer brands include the aqua, marbles and Opus branded range of credit cards.

2. Who is NewDay regulated by?

NewDay Ltd is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, which replaced the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) as the regulator of consumer credit.  We are currently regulated by the Office of Fair Trading for the provision of credit and also authorised by Financial Conduct Authority as a payment service provider.

3. Has the company changed ownership or my account been sold?

No. We have simply changed our company name from Progressive Credit Limited to NewDay Ltd.

4. Is anything changing on my account?

Any changes to your terms and conditions were listed in the letter you were recently sent. We have not changed your interest rates, APR or any of our charges.  These remain the same as in the agreement when you entered into it or as advised in the last letter we sent to you telling you about a change we were making to your interest rates.

As with all card providers, we reserve the right to amend interest rates from time to time. However, we will always give you notice before doing so in accordance with your terms and conditions.

5. What other brands is NewDay Ltd associated with?

From 1 April 2014, we provide credit and store cards for these retail partners: Debenhams, House of Fraser, Laura Ashley, Topshop, Topman, Burton, Wallis, Miss Selfridge, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Outfit, Russell & Bromley, and Harvey Nichols.

Our consumer brands include the aqua, marbles and Opus branded range of credit cards.

6. Do I need to make any changes to my Direct Debit or existing payment arrangements?

No. You do not need to make any changes; your payments will still be collected from your account in accordance with your instruction.

7. Do I need to change the way I pay you?

No. You can continue making payments as you have been.

8. Will I still receive paper statements from you?

Yes, you will continue to receive your monthly paper statement from us. You may also view your statements online by registering at www.opuscard.co.uk

9. Can I receive statements electronically?

Yes, to request eStatements simply go to the ‘Change Preferences’ section of your Online Servicing account and switch to eStatements.

10. I am on a payment arrangement, is that affected?

No, this is unaffected. You should continue to make payments in accordance with your payment arrangement with Opus.

11. Will my card number and account number be changing?

Your card and account number will not change.
